Mental Health and Behavioral Therapy

Psychotherapy treats mental health issues by talking with a qualified mental health professional.

Collaborative Problem Solving

Collaborative Problem Solving is a relational approach that focuses on building skills like flexibility, frustration tolerance, and problem-solving, rather than simply motivating kids to behave better.

Considering therapy? Here are answers to a few common questions.

Your therapist will complete a biopsychosocial assessment, which means they will ask questions about your social, medical, and psychiatric history.  You will then discuss your desired results and develop further goals for treatment.

You will work with your therapist to develop a plan for how often you will be seen.  Typically, the frequency between appointments is one to two weeks initially then increases as therapy progresses.
This is different for everyone.  Some individuals achieve their desired resolution within a few sessions and others may take longer.  There are times when people discharge from therapy and then return later due to a new concern or further difficulty managing a reoccurring issue.
We currently only accept individuals with Wellmark of Iowa (Blue Cross Blue Shield).  If you have a different insurance plan and would like to be seen for therapy, please contact us, and we will look into credentialing with your payer.
Yes.  If you choose to pay “out of pocket” for therapy, you will be given a 30% discount on all appointments.  Please contact us for specific fees.
